The idea behind my blog: "The Scrapbook"

How it differs from a classic blog and the thought behind

Welcome to The Scrapbook. This isn't your typical blog with advice on what design trends are ahead of us. It is more or less a collection of chaotic thoughts that miraculously work together.

Just like a tangible scrapbook, every entry will show another layer of the way my brain works and what beliefs I hold onto. Some might find it inspirational, others might think that this is total nonsense.

But there is something thrilling about sharing your thoughts with the deepest parts of the internet and a bunch of total strangers.

"Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it."

What the hell is a scrapbook anyways?

For me, it's a calming process of preserving memories that involves a lot of cutting, gluing, and trying to cover up mistakes. A scrapbook is never perfect but captures emotions that are bound to your favorite moments. My theme is traveling. Even though I haven't seen the whole world yet,

I also capture small adventures that I experience with my partner, family, and friends. All these places resemble a color, and design style and consist of stacking a lot of printed elements on top of each other. Mistakes or unwanted placements are usually irreversible which helps find other solutions to make the layout work.

What does it mean for the blog?

Unpredictable content – it unites anything with everything. For example one day you'll see a photo documentary of a lost place, on the other you read about mindfulness or the process behind trying unconventional media.

The goal is to create an archive of posts in which everyone finds something that is either relatable, helpful, or just entertaining.

Let's see what the future holds!
